Church Vegetable Garden Surrounded by Flowers

Some flowers are placed on the Communion Table.

                              And some are taken to TPC Members who are homebound.

                            These flowers were in the Garden on the June 29 Workday:

                    Weed suppression: Cover with newspaper, add straw on top, and then water

                                              And there will always be manual weeding  

          Broccoli is done                                        Green Beans 'aplenty' 
Yellow Squash and Zucchini doing well (and Cucumbers)

More soil mix added to the North Raised Bed

Then four Tomato plants and several Green Bean plants added

Added two Zucchini and one Tomato plant in West Bed north side

(and two Yellow Squash and one Tomato plant in West Bed south side)

(and one Zucchini, one Yellow Squash and two Tomato plants in the South Bed)

Added leaf cover over all vegetable beds

Radishes and more lettuce almost ready

Final step: Watering

And adding wood chips to the Garden paths

Outside the perimeter: Weeding the Flower Garden 

Which has a few beautiful Spring flowers
